Models that fail to load stay in your project, and material settings that work as labelled

EditorMaterialsShare ViewIntegrationsPricingSecurity

If a 3D model cannot be loaded when you open a project — a slow or interrupted connection — it now stays in the project and loads again next time; before, the next autosave could remove it permanently. Material settings now do what their labels say: Index of Refraction works on transparent materials, new materials keep their environment light, and Fixed Material blocks look the same in the editor and on your Share link.

Improved

  • A model that fails to load is kept in the project. The notice offers Retry, hiding the notice, or "Remove from project…", and only that last option — after you confirm — takes the model out.
  • Index of Refraction (Material Editor → Advanced, Transparent materials) now changes how the material looks; before, it was ignored.
  • New materials, and the Flat preset, start with Reflection Strength 1 so they receive the scene's environment light. At 0 a material is lit only by the scene lights and usually looks much darker. Materials you already have are unchanged.
  • Opening a material that never stored Reflectivity or Reflection Strength now shows the values your Share link already uses, so saving it no longer changes how it looks.
  • Project Settings → Lighting no longer shows the Environment Preset picker: every preset rendered the same studio lighting, so it changed nothing. Use Exposure, Light Intensity and HDR Intensity to adjust lighting.

Fixed

  • Fixed Material blocks now save the material's Reflectivity, so the Preview and the Share view match the editor (before, they assumed a default value). Re-apply a Fixed Material entry to update one made earlier.
  • Prices calculated through the API, the SDK and the AI for a project whose pricing formula is incomplete now match the price shown in your configurator instead of 0.

Security

  • The WooCommerce settings page no longer receives your Consumer Key or stored access token — only that they are saved and the last four characters of the key — so team members who can view the workspace can no longer read them. Leave a field blank to keep the saved value.
  • The public quote endpoint used by headless integrations now accepts submissions only for real projects (shared ones, or calls made with the owner's API key), respects the owner's billing status like your Share links, and caps the size of a single submission.

AI: change history with undo, Fixed Material blocks, and changes that match your configurator

AIEditorPricingMaterialsEmailSecurity

The AI Assistant and connected AI apps (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) can now show you everything the AI changed or proposed, withdraw a proposal, and propose undoing a change — you approve the undo like any other change. They can also set up Fixed Material blocks, reorder options, price Modular modules and Number Input parameters, and build rules that react to placed modules. We reviewed every AI tool against what your Preview and Share view actually show, and corrected the ones that saved settings your configurator does not use.

New

  • Ask "what did the AI change?" to get the full history: proposals waiting for your approval, applied changes and whether they can still be undone, and anything that failed.
  • Ask the AI to undo a change: it prepares the undo, you approve it in Dashboard → AI Changes, and the undo can itself be reversed.
  • Fixed Material blocks can be set up by the AI: library materials or plain colours applied automatically to a model or to specific parts.
  • The AI can reorder the options in a block, set prices for Modular modules and Number Input parameters, and create rules triggered by the modules a shopper places.

Improved

  • Number inputs that resize a model are now set up the way the configurator applies them: every part that changes is listed, and parts that should move rather than stretch (handles, legs) are marked to move.
  • Changing tax or currency through the AI now always waits for your approval, because it changes what shoppers pay.
  • The AI checks that the models, parts and categories it points to exist before saving, and refuses settings your configurator does not use instead of saving them silently.
  • Shopify product links made by the AI now always include the product variant, so Add to Cart opens a working cart.
  • Projects created by the AI show their price and quote form on the Share view from the start.

Fixed

  • The customer confirmation e-mail is now sent even when the form's Email field has been renamed or translated; before, it was found only by the label "Email".
  • Links in "Save configuration" e-mails always point to your Simplio3D app address.
  • An AI undo can no longer restore an old store connection: only the checkout mode is put back, never a credential.

Security

  • Colour and font settings changed through the AI can no longer carry code into the shopper page, and the editor refuses AI changes to custom scripts, custom CSS and e-mail or store credentials.
