Team Members

Invite colleagues into your workspace, give each of them a role, and keep control of what they can reach. Your plan decides how many teammates you can have.

How many teammates can I add?

Each plan includes a number of seats. A seat is used as soon as you send an invitation — you don't have to wait for someone to accept.

PlanTeam membersNotes
Starter2Plus you, the owner.
Pro10The 30-day trial runs on Pro, so trial accounts get 10 seats.

The Team seats card at the top of Dashboard → Members shows how many you've used. Freeing a seat is instant — remove a member (or a pending invitation) and you can invite someone else straight away.

You are not counted as a seat. If you're on Starter, you can have yourself plus two teammates.

Roles

Pick a role when you invite someone — you can change it any time.

RoleCan do
AdminEverything except billing — projects, materials, assets, integrations, and managing teammates.
EditorCreate and edit projects, materials, assets and pricing. Cannot delete assets or manage the team.
ViewerRead-only access to projects, assets and quote requests.
Billing is always yours alone. No team member — not even an Admin — can see your subscription, invoices, payment methods or plan prices. The Billing section simply isn't there for them.

Inviting someone

  1. Go to Dashboard → Members and click Invite Member.
  2. Enter their email address, optionally a name, and choose a role.
  3. Click Send Invitation. They receive an email with a link to join.

The invitation shows as Pending until they accept. It expires after 14 days, and you can resend it up to five times.

If the invitation email fails to send, the seat is still created and Simplio3D gives you a copyable invitation link you can share directly — you never lose the invite because of a mail problem.

Accepting an invitation

Your teammate clicks the link and lands on a page showing who invited them, the workspace, and their role. If they don't have a Simplio3D account yet, they can create one right there — the email address is filled in for them.

An invitation can only be accepted by the exact email address it was sent to. If your teammate is signed in with a different account, they'll be told which address to use and can sign out without leaving the page. Forwarding an invitation to a colleague does not let them join — send them their own.

Your teammate does not need an account first. Opening the invitation shows them who invited them and to what, then asks for one thing — a password. There is no separate confirmation email to hunt for: receiving the invitation already proves the address is theirs, so their account is created and they join in a single step. If they already have a Simplio3D account, they're shown a sign-in button instead (we never change an existing account's password from a link). Signed-in teammates can also accept an invitation directly from the workspace switcher in their sidebar — no need to dig out the email.

Working inside your workspace. Once they accept, your teammate can switch into your workspace from the workspace switcher at the top of their sidebar and work on your projects, materials, assets and requests — with exactly the access their role allows. Their own personal space stays separate; the switcher lets them move between the two (and any other workspaces they belong to) at any time. Billing always stays with you, the owner.
Belong to more than one team? The workspace switcher lists every workspace you're a member of plus any pending invitations. Pick one to work in it; your role there decides what you can do. A Viewer sees a “View only” badge and can browse but not change anything.

Managing your team

  • Resend — sends a fresh invitation email. The previous link stops working, so this is also how you revoke an invitation that went to the wrong place.
  • Suspend access — keeps the person on your team but blocks them, without losing the seat setup. Restore any time.
  • Edit — change their role or display name. The email address can't be changed; remove and re-invite instead.
  • Remove — frees the seat immediately and instantly invalidates any pending invitation link.
Want to change the wording of the invitation email? Workspace-wide email templates are managed by the Simplio3D team — contact support if you need custom copy.

Downgrading with a full team

If you try to move from Pro to Starter while you still have more teammates than the smaller plan allows, the change is refused and you'll see exactly how many seats you need to free first (for example Team members: 5/2). Remove the extra members, then downgrade.
